  • Absolutely. Microfribillated cellulose is classifed as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While you should never try to swallow your toothpaste, microfibrillated cellulose is also used in the food industry as a stabilizer and thickener in various food products.
  • No, not at all. Microfibrillated cellulose is undetectable to human senses.
  • No, not at all. While the cellulose fibers help remove plaque and stains mechanically, they do not increase the level of abrasion of the toothpaste. ENAMÜR has a much lower level of abrasion than most whitening toothpastes.
  • No, not at all. The clinical study demonstrating up to 7X more plaque removal was conducted with a manual toothbrush.
  • We recommend using a generous bead of ENAMÜR covering the head of the brush. Some mechanical brushes have very tiny brush heads. On these types of brush heads, we recommend applying as much ENAMÜR as possible on the small brush head, and then applying ENAMÜR again after the second “beep” or notification from the brush at the half-way point through the cycle.
  • Many toothpastes use industrial surfactants to make toothpaste foamy (such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or SLS). These types of agents can foam up very quickly forming a saliva slurry which can actually inhibit the ability of your toothbrush to remove plaque and stains from your teeth.
  • ENAMÜR uses Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CABP) which is naturally derived from coconut oil. It is a lighter foaming agent that will not immediately turn into a saliva slurry or create a foamy mess in your mouth.
